Nano-onions based on chitosan: Production and characterization

چکیده
This work presents the morphology and characterization of chitosan nanoparticles crosslinked with lecithin in form nano-onions obtained by an easy, economical, possibly scalable method from a polymeric precursor known as chitosan. The creation new products using shrimp waste is fundamental factor avoiding water pollution. These materials have positive impact they add value to waste, provide opportunity decrease Chitosan were synthesized environmentally friendly, inexpensive natural source. (CSNO) characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) specific surface area (SSA). FTIR shows presence carbonyl groups at wavenumber 1752.12 cm–1, while phosphate attributed are observed 1156.88 cm–1. XRD analysis confirmed amorphous structure, SEM images presented globular concave surfaces. TEM showed that congregated unique structure includes nanotubes. CSNO average diameter DLS was 442.5 nm octagonal arrangement, polydispersity index (PDI) 0.532 31.9 mV. size CSNO, PDI, zeta potential indicators stable dispersion superficial measured Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) 1.4 m2 g–1. results chitosan-lecithin indicate changes material larger total pore compared pure According CHNO characterization, could be used adsorbents for contaminants also application biomedical area, mainly drug encapsulation material.
